the 11th Annual Congress of IUA
As the president of IUA, It is an honor and a great pleasure for us to invite you to the 11th Annual IAU Congress, which will be held in Iran's Capital City Tehran, from MAY 30 till JUN 3، 2008.
This is the fist time that the congress is organized by Shiraz Medical University and IUA cooperation. Shiraz Medical University has gained a wide reputation and has become a major educational center, providing a high standard of undergraduate and postgraduate teaching.
The congress venue, Tehran is the capital and the largest city of Iran and the largest in Southwest Asia .Tehran is a sprawling city at the foot of the Alborz mountain range with immense network of highways unparalleled in western Asia .Although a relatively new city that does not evoke the history of other Iranian cities such as Isfahan, Shiraz or Tabriz, Tehran has numerous large museums, art and cultural centers and filled with many historic mosques and areas of interest. Tehran enjoys a moderate climate can generally be described as mild during spring. Tehran is a diverse and beautiful city, combining the ancient civilization of Persia with modern developments and living .Your visit to this city will give you a brief glimpse into the rich history of Iran making it a great location for our 11th annual congress.
Over the last decade the Iranian Urologists have made great progress in the urological research and development, with particular emphasis on endourology and laparoscopic surgery .They have also been at the forefront of the assessment and development of new technologies into the treatment of prostate cancer.
The IUA has grown and developed into what is now a leading and dynamic force in world urology .It is with the same dynamism and expertise that are the hallmarks of a high calibre and carefully arranged scientific program for the conference .The sessions will include:
